Phase 1 : Discovery and Planning

Step 1 - Discover Your Gifts

Through a series of prompted questions, you will uncover your unique skills, gifts, and passions that will later be utilized to contribute. This is a fundamental step that sets the stage for the rest of your challenge.

Personal Contribution Discovery

1. What would people who know you best say your gifts are?

2. What have people told you throughout your life that they valued about you?

3. What complements have you received related to your abilities? Take your time and list every compliment that comes to mind, even if you do not place much value on it.

4. Which causes motivate you the most? Can you see yourself dedicating a substantial amount of time to a particular cause or group?

Your Fullest Gift

Self-reflection can be difficult. Contemplating and identifying your unique qualities can be aided by implementing a "shotgun" approach. Ask yourself this question - "How can I give my fullest gift to the world?"

Simply put, your "fullest gift" would be how you would uniquely contribute in a way that feels the most meaningful and fulfilling to you.

5. What would it look like to give your fullest gift to the world? What comes to mind when you consider how you could do the most good in the world in a way that is unique to you?

6. What type of person would you have to be to give the world that gift?

7. What feelings do you experience when you envision yourself as that person? Select which feelings you experience from category 1 and for category 2.

Feelings from Category 2 are important to acknowledge because they often reveal internal resistance that may be limiting your potential to give in the most fulfilling way. Sometimes, we recognize how we can do the most good, but it doesn’t align with the story we’ve told ourselves—and the world—about who we are. Stepping into the role of someone who offers this particular gift can feel uncomfortable, as if it contradicts your sense of identity. It might feel like you’re pretending. But what if it’s not pretending? What if it’s an invitation to expand, to discover parts of yourself that have been waiting to emerge—not as someone you’re not, but as someone you’re becoming?

Step 2 - Who Can Benefit

Fulfillment Grows Where Your Gifts Meet the Needs of Others

You’ve discovered your unique gifts—now it’s time to put them to work. True fulfillment doesn’t happen in isolation. It grows when your skills, passions, and strengths create real value for others.

The question isn’t just “What am I good at?”It’s also:“Who needs what I have to offer?”

This step is about finding your community—the people, groups, or causes that will not only benefit from your contribution but also help you grow in return.

Remember:

This isn’t just about helping others. It’s about creating meaningful experiences that challenge you, connect you, and ultimately lead to greater fulfillment.

1. What specific groups can benefit from your skills, gifts, and/or passions?

2. How can your skills, gifts, and/or passions help address an already existing problem?

3. Think of someone who truly inspires you. Why does this person inspire you? How can you replicate their impact in your own unique way?

Step 3 - Plan Your Contribution

Fulfillment Doesn’t Come from Thinking and Planning — It Comes from Taking Action.

Now that you’ve discovered your gifts and identified the people who need you, it’s time to answer the most important question: “How can I create the most impact?”

This isn’t about having the perfect plan. It’s about taking meaningful action that puts your unique skills and passions to work in a way that adds real value to others—because that’s where fulfillment lives.

1. What are some specific ways that you can provide value to the groups from Step 2?

2. What are the first steps you can take towards contributing to these groups? Who specifically can you contact?

3. What specifically would you express to them? How yould you explain why you feel compelled to help this group/community?

Reach Out and Initiate Your Contribution - DO THIS NOW

Take the first step by contacting the group or community you’ve chosen. Clearly express your desire to contribute and how you believe your unique gifts can add value.

Be patient—it may take some time to coordinate and set up your contribution.

If you’ve identified multiple groups or communities, consider reaching out to all of them. This increases your chances of getting started quickly and allows you to explore where your contribution can have the greatest impact.
