Summary

 

Because Community is a mission-driven organization that seeks to address the fundamental human needs for purpose and belonging by cultivating a vibrant culture of community engagement and personal contribution. Our approach involves providing transformative teachings, tools, and experiences that help individuals and groups overcome loneliness, isolation, and decreased sense of wellbeing within themselves and their communities. 

 

Our BeCAUSE Community Tools are specifically designed to help individuals organize aspects of their personal lives, enabling them to achieve greater fulfillment, motivation, and pride. These tools serve as a platform for individuals to consider how they can best utilize their skills and gifts to make meaningful and impactful contributions to their communities.

 

To achieve our mission, we have created Community Connection Events, starting with our flagship Free Flowers and Hugs initiative. These events bring together volunteers to distribute free flowers and hugs in public spaces, creating tangible positive outcomes for everyone involved. Our research shows that volunteers benefit the most from these events, reducing their own loneliness and isolation and improving their overall wellbeing. We plan to continue to refine our event outcome measure program to track how our events benefit those struggling with loneliness, isolation, and decreased sense of wellbeing.

 

As we continue to expand our grassroots model, we will facilitate the realization of Community Connection Events across the United States through the sale of community event packages to Ambassadors. These packages can be adapted to accommodate other types of community events, services, and tools to address loneliness, isolation, and enhance overall wellbeing. By combining our Community Tools with our Community Connection Events, we create a holistic approach that addresses the fundamental human needs for purpose and belonging. We believe that this Ambassador model will help us to achieve our goal of creating a vibrant culture of community engagement and personal contribution.

By enabling strong community members who can further contribute to their community in a positive manner, we can help to create a society where everyone feels a sense of purpose and belonging. With our transformative teachings, tools, and experiences, we are confident that we can achieve this mission.”

 

Objective:

 

Our objective is to raise $50,000 in seed funding to launch our Ambassador program and further our mission of spreading joy and connection across the US.

 

Campaign Details

 

$10,000 for website optimization and organic SEO to increase our online visibility and reach more people who could benefit from our events and tools.

$15,000 for creating community event packages and training materials for our Ambassadors.

$10,000 for marketing and outreach efforts to find and recruit Ambassadors and spread awareness of our events.

$10,000 for development and implementation of BeCAUSE Community Tools on our website. 

$5,000 for refining and implementing our event outcome measure program to track and analyze the impact of our events.

 

Impact: With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities across the US. Our Community Connection Events have already shown to reduce loneliness and isolation, and improve overall wellbeing for both volunteers and recipients. By expanding our Ambassador program, we can reach more people and spread more joy and connection. And by refining our event outcome measure program, we can generate studies that add value to the scientific community and contribute to a greater understanding of loneliness and isolation.
